The Standard Implant

Straumann Standard implants feature a smooth neck of 2.8mm in height and are well-suited for single-stage procedures, where the implant is placed at the soft tissue level and left uncovered during the healing phase. The Standard Plus implant
For flexible placement
Straumann Standard Plus implants consist of a smooth neck of 1.8mm in height that allows flexible coronoapical implant placement in combination with trans- or sub-gingival healing.

The anatomical design of Straumann Tapered Effect implants combines a cylindrical shape of the apex and a conical shape at the coronal aspect of the implant site – making it suitable for immediate or early implantation following extraction or tooth loss.

Results of a randomized, controlled, multicenter clinical study show that the Straumann bone level implant exhibited excellent crestal bone maintenance and a high survival rate of 99.2%.1

Straumann’s SLA® and SLActive® surfaces
At 20–40μm, the macrostructure of the SLA and SLActive surfaces leads to optimal cell adherence and proliferation in the cavities of the roughened implant surface. Micro-rough surfaces enhance the proliferation of cells, morphology, the rate of cell spreading, the formation of a 3-dimensional cell matrix, and significantly increase the number of cells attached to the surface.
The technique used to create the SLA and SLActive surface – sand-blasted, large grit, acid-etched – is now the industry standard and has been copied by many implant companies. Still, no other company can claim the same success that has been achieved through Straumann’s technology.
The SLA implant reduces healing time to 6 weeks when compared to titanium plasma spray and boasts a 98.8% success rate.
